Project Description

This unusual dome at the top the high residence in Alsancak, Izmir is visible from many spots of the city. The structure designed as a tensile membrane system and geodesic dome added value to the the building in terms of technology. The system is formed by stressing at every junction of the geodesic dome. The design which brings an avantgarde interpretation to tensile membrane applications, can be constructed for different spans. The structure is designed using WinTess by Onart Membrane Structures.
