With this menu you can draw several geodesic line at the same time:

  1. Trans-auxiliar
    Select an existing auxiliary line.
    For this purpose the segments making up the auxiliary creates a plane perpendicular to the auxiliary at each segment. These planes cut the membrane perimeter at two points (sometimes more). A geodesic between two correlating points is drawn.
  2. Trans-geodesic
    Perform the same process, but using the segments that make up an already existing geodesic line.

  1. Between two geodesic
    With this menu are a set of geodesic lines are drawn between two other geodesic. The program asks us to select the first geodesic then the other. If these two geodesics don’t have the same number of segments, the program does not perform any operation. On the other hand, if they have the same number of segments, new geodesics lines that connect the ends of these segments are drawn. Before drawing such geodesics, we can, in a pop-up window, choose the number of segments or the approximate length of segments for the new geodesic lines. We note that there is a checkbox which automatically creates patterns between these new geodesic lines. These patterns between geodesic lines possibly will not be adequate and will need to modify or re-create them, but it can be used to quickly find out the width of these patterns and, if necessary, will allow delete and re-create them in a different numbers.

Example of multi-geodesic between two geodesic

  1. Radial
    This option draws a set of geodesics all starting from the same point which we call Center. The most common is that we choose that point among the nodes which form the mesh, by clicking directly on it. Then, we have to choose another point that tells the program where to start creating the geodesics. It is the Reference point.

    Finally, we indicate to the program how many geodesic should be created. Once done, pressing the OK button will go to the window seen in the figure of the previous paragraph, where we are asked the number of points of the geodetic and whether or not we want to create patterns at the same time.If the central point is not a point of the membrane, WinTess will ask for another point, which we call Normal, which shows us the axis around which we are going to create new geodesic lines. If the point belongs to the membrane (the previous case) WinTess already know the normal to the point and does not require further information. But, in the rare instance that the point used as Center does not belong to the membrane, we must indicate another point to define the Normal as the axis of rotation.

    The figure above will result of creating 10 radial geodesic on the membrane.
